Description of WMM (Wet Mix Material)

WMM (Wet Mix Material) also known as Wet Mix Macadam consists of laying spreading and compacting of clean crushed, well- granular materials on a prepared and approved Granular sub-Base. The Material is well mixed with water and rolled to a dense mass. WMM is a modern technology used as base course layers for Pavement/ Road Design.

It is measured as TPH (Tonne Per Hour). We provide minimum quantity of 120 TPH to the maximum quantity of 160 TPH.

In case of WMM (Wet Mix Macadam), the aggregates and binding materials are pre-mixed in a batching planter in a Concrete mixing machined then brought to the site for overlaying and rolling. The speciality of WMM or Wet Mix Macadam is that, there are no binders used in it.

And if we talk about advantages of WMM are — Uniformity is better and it fastens the speed. It is usually adopted for National Highways, State Highways or any other roads. Also it is said that, the roads which are built or constructed by using WMM are superior than the roads which are built up using WBM (Water Bound Macadam).
